Yoskar Sarante

Yoskar Sarante was a bachata singer born in 1970 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He started out in merengue, playing with the band Grupo Melao in the early 1990s, before building a long solo career in bachata that made him one of the genre's most recognized voices internationally. He released his debut album in 1994 and kept a steady output going for decades, earning the nickname El Prabu.
