The Syn
The Syn were a psychedelic pop group from London, formed in the mid-1960s out of earlier local bands, with a lineup that included guitarist Peter Banks, bassist Chris Squire, and vocalist Steve Nardelli. Both Banks and Squire would later go on to co-found Yes, making The Syn a notable footnote in the history of British progressive rock. The band worked in the freakbeat and psychedelic pop styles that defined the London underground scene of 1967.
