The Clancy Brothers
The Clancy Brothers were an Irish folk group from County Tipperary who built their career largely in New York, where they became central figures in the early 1960s American folk revival. The core trio, Paddy, Tom, and Liam Clancy, performed most often alongside Tommy Makem, recording traditional Irish songs, ballads, and drinking songs with an energy that influenced artists including Bob Dylan. They continued performing in various lineups until Paddy Clancy's death in 1998.
