Roger Chapman

Roger Chapman is an English rock vocalist born in Leicester in 1942, best known for fronting the British progressive rock band Family and the rock and R&B outfit Streetwalkers in the 1970s. His voice, a raw, vibrato-heavy instrument with influences from Little Richard and Ray Charles, made him a cult figure on the British rock scene. After going solo in the late 1970s, he built a particularly devoted following in Germany, where he based much of his career for two decades.
