Percy Faith

Percy Faith (1908-1976) was a Canadian-American conductor, composer, and arranger who built his career around lush, string-heavy orchestral recordings. Born in Toronto, he became one of the most prominent figures in easy listening and mood music, serving as musical director for Columbia Records through the 1950s. Beyond his own recordings, he arranged hits for artists including Tony Bennett, Doris Day, and Johnny Mathis.
