Paul Jackson Jr. is a Los Angeles guitarist, composer, arranger, and producer who built his reputation as one of the most in-demand session players in R&B during the 1970s and 1980s. Born in 1959 and raised in a musical family, he studied music at the University of Southern California and went on to record with artists including Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Bobby Womack, and the Temptations. Alongside his session work, he has released solo records rooted in fusion and urban jazz.
