Maelo Ruiz

Maelo Ruiz, born Ismael Ruiz Hernández on October 22, 1966, is a New York City-born singer of Puerto Rican heritage who has spent most of his life on the island. He works in salsa romántica, a style built around slow-burning, romantic arrangements and expressive lead vocals. Over a career that started in his late teens, he has built a following across Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
