Luifer Cuello

Luifer Cuello, born Luis Fernando Cuello Mera in Valledupar, Colombia in 1987, is a singer, songwriter, and producer rooted in vallenato, the accordion-driven folk genre native to Colombia's Caribbean coast. He is part of a younger generation of vallenato artists sometimes grouped under the label Nueva Ola del Vallenato. His songs mix traditional vallenato rhythms with contemporary pop sensibilities, and he has built a following across Colombia and among Latin music audiences abroad.
