Lou Barlow

Lou Barlow is an American singer, songwriter, and bassist from western Massachusetts, born in Dayton, Ohio in 1966. He was a founding member of Dinosaur Jr. and Sebadoh, and helped shape the lo-fi indie rock sound of the late 1980s and early 1990s. His solo work tends to be quieter and more acoustic than his band projects, drawing on folk and bedroom-recording traditions.
