Les Baxter

Les Baxter (1922-1996) was an American composer, conductor, and musician from the United States who became one of the leading figures in the exotica and easy listening genres. He studied piano and played saxophone in swing bands before building a career as an arranger and recording artist with his own orchestra. Over his career he scored music for more than 250 radio, television, and film productions, and charted several pop hits in the 1950s.
