Jeanne Pruett

Jeanne Pruett, born Norma Jean Bowman in Alabama in 1935, is an American country music singer and songwriter who spent most of her career based in Nashville. She moved there in 1956 alongside her husband Jack Pruett, who played guitar for Marty Robbins, and she steadily worked her way into the country music mainstream. Her biggest moment came with the 1973 chart-topper 'Satin Sheets,' which landed her a membership in the Grand Ole Opry.
