Hot Club Of Cowtown

Hot Club of Cowtown is an American Western swing trio that formed in Austin, Texas in 1997, built around violin, guitar, and upright bass. The band draws from two main traditions: the hot jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, and the Western swing of Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys. Their music mixes fiddle tunes, hoedowns, American Songbook standards, and old cowboy songs into a style that feels rooted in the 1930s and 1940s.
