Homer & Jethro

Homer and Jethro were a country music comedy duo from Knoxville, Tennessee, consisting of Henry 'Homer' Haynes on guitar and Kenneth 'Jethro' Burns on mandolin. They built their act around comic parodies of popular and country songs, with a dry wit and genuine instrumental skill that set them apart from straight novelty acts. The pair got their start on Knoxville radio in the 1930s and went on to record extensively for RCA Victor through the 1950s and 1960s.
