Herman Brood & His Wild Romance

Herman Brood was a Dutch singer, pianist, and painter who formed his backing group, the Wild Romance, in 1977. The band played a raw mix of rock and roll, new wave, and rhythm and blues, and built a devoted following in the Netherlands and Germany through intense live performances. Their 1978 debut album Shpritsz and the hit single Saturday Night made them one of the most recognizable Dutch rock acts of the era.
