Grupo Niche

Grupo Niche is a salsa group from Colombia, founded in 1978 in Bogotá by Jairo Varela and Alexis Lozano. Varela led the group as producer, director, and chief songwriter until his death in 2012, and the band built a large following across Latin America. Their sound draws heavily from the Cali salsa tradition, and songs like 'Cali Pachanguero' made them one of the most celebrated salsa acts in the world.
