Goo Goo Dolls

The Goo Goo Dolls are an alternative rock band from Buffalo, New York, formed in 1985 by guitarist and vocalist John Rzeznik and bassist and vocalist Robby Takac. They started as a cover band, developed a punk sound early on, and gradually moved toward the melodic, radio-friendly rock they became recognized for in the mid-1990s. Over their career they have sold around 12 million records worldwide, with singles like 'Iris' and 'Name' becoming staples of 1990s rock radio.
