George Winston

George Winston (1949-2023) was an American solo pianist from Montana who spent his career recording contemplative instrumental music in the new age style. He came to prominence in the early 1980s with a string of platinum-selling albums for Windham Hill Records, and over his career sold more than 15 million records. His playing draws on folk, jazz, and classical influences, and his music is closely tied to the feel of seasons and natural landscapes.
