Farid Ortiz

Farid Ortiz, full name Farid Antonio Ortiz Marín, is a singer and songwriter from El Paso, in the Cesar department of Colombia. He works primarily in vallenato and cumbia, two traditional Colombian folk genres rooted in the Caribbean coastal region. Over a long career he has built a strong following across Colombia and Latin America, earning the nickname El Rey de los Pueblos.
