Erroll Garner

Erroll Garner was a Pittsburgh-born jazz pianist and composer who lived from 1921 to 1977. He was self-taught and developed a distinctive two-handed technique, keeping a steady rhythmic pulse in his left hand while playing fluid, swinging lines in his right. His composition "Misty" became one of the most covered jazz standards ever written.
