Danny Malando

Danny Malando is a Dutch orchestra leader and musician, born in 1967, who leads the Malando Orchestra originally founded by his grandfather Arie Maasland in 1939. He took over the orchestra in the 1990s and continues its tradition of tango and Latin dance music. His real surname is Overweg, and he records under the Malando name as a tribute to the family's long musical legacy.
