Chris Montez

Chris Montez is a Mexican-American singer and guitarist from Los Angeles, born in 1943, who started out in rock and roll before moving toward pop and Latin styles. His mentor was Ritchie Valens, and he scored a top-five U.S. hit in 1962 with 'Let's Dance'. Later in the 1960s he reinvented himself as a soft pop balladeer, charting again with songs like 'The More I See You' and 'Call Me'.
