Chris Minh Doky

Chris Minh Doky is a Danish jazz bassist born in 1969, the younger brother of pianist Niels Lan Doky. He picked up the bass in the mid-1980s and built a career working both as a leader and as a sideman for artists including Michael Brecker, Mike Stern, David Sanborn, and Ryuichi Sakamoto. His playing draws on Scandinavian musical roots while being shaped by years spent in the New York jazz scene.
