Chas & Dave

Chas & Dave are a London duo, pianist Chas Hodges and guitarist Dave Peacock, who played together from the mid-1970s with drummer Mick Burt. They coined the word 'rockney' for their style, a mix of rock and roll with Cockney humour and working-class London storytelling. Their songs are rooted in the pub and music hall traditions of the East End, delivered with wit and a strong London accent.
