Bruce Johnston

Bruce Johnston, born in Illinois and raised in Los Angeles, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician who has been part of the Beach Boys since 1965. He works primarily in pop and soft rock, and he composed 'I Write the Songs', which became a number-one hit for Barry Manilow in 1976. He also wrote several Beach Boys songs, including 'Disney Girls' and 'Deirdre'.
