Barbarito Diez

Barbarito Diez was a Cuban singer born in Bolondrón, Cuba in 1909 or 1910, who spent his career specializing in danzón and bolero. He sang as the lead vocalist for Antonio María Romeu's orchestra for about 20 years, becoming one of the most celebrated voices in that tradition. He continued recording and performing with his own charanga and other groups well into his later years, and is widely regarded as an icon of classic Havana romantic music.
